News On Danielle and Brandon

We took Danielle to the doctor this week. Her doctor is great. She spent about 45 minutes in the room with us. For a doctor, she sure is "patient." (Couldn't resist) She is in the process of changing her medications. She is taking her off of one and putting her on another. She is hoping that this move will stop the seizures. It is always scary when the doctor changes meds. The last time this happened we had some rough times during the transition. Please pray that this doesn't happen.

On a much lighter note, Brandon made the ninth grade basketball team. They had their first game last night and things, for Brandon at least, did not go too well. He only got to play about 3 minutes in the game. He never saw the court the second half. It was the least he's played in a game of any kind in his whole life. Please pray too that he will get to play more. He really is doing well. I think the coach just had too many choices. He kept 13 on the team. That's a lot of subs. We only lost the game by three poionts. That's not too bad. Well, we play our second game tomorrow. I hope he gets to play more.

Busy Week

Sorry to have been away so long. It was one of the most busy weeks I have spent in a long time. We had our 50's show last night and it went great. Most of you know I play with a group called Showdown. We are a variety band with a monthly show and it's a blast. We had taken off for the months of August through October. We had the biggest show of the year last night. We had over 800 people come. It was great. But the work to put that show together was overwhelming. It was worth it, though, to hear those people cheer. No doubt that is one of the best "highs" a person can experience. To know that people appreciate you so much that they would pay money and come and cheer you on is a feeling that's hard to describe.

Today was a great Sunday too. I am continuing my series on the Holy Spirit. Today we talked about the "Ministry of the Spirit." Just what did He come to do? I didn't pretend to cover all on this topic I could. I talked about the Holy Spirit and His ministry in salvation, sanctification, and service. I really appreciate the way in which Creekside church participates in my sermons. They really are an inspiration and a joy to work with in the kingdom of Jesus.

I hope you all have a great week. Thanks for stopping by.
