Busy Week
Sorry to have been away so long. It was one of the most busy weeks I have spent in a long time. We had our 50's show last night and it went great. Most of you know I play with a group called Showdown. We are a variety band with a monthly show and it's a blast. We had taken off for the months of August through October. We had the biggest show of the year last night. We had over 800 people come. It was great. But the work to put that show together was overwhelming. It was worth it, though, to hear those people cheer. No doubt that is one of the best "highs" a person can experience. To know that people appreciate you so much that they would pay money and come and cheer you on is a feeling that's hard to describe.
Today was a great Sunday too. I am continuing my series on the Holy Spirit. Today we talked about the "Ministry of the Spirit." Just what did He come to do? I didn't pretend to cover all on this topic I could. I talked about the Holy Spirit and His ministry in salvation, sanctification, and service. I really appreciate the way in which Creekside church participates in my sermons. They really are an inspiration and a joy to work with in the kingdom of Jesus.
I hope you all have a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

I hate I missed yesterday! I was home sick and didn't even go to play the piano at Mom's church either. I did hear that it was an awesome sermon though! I'll be sure to listen on the internet!
Glad the show went so well!
Love to all!!!

Isn't it encouraging when the crowd responds vocally to a sermon? I find it especially comforting because it helps me to think of it more as a classroom than a pulpit. And it helps me remember that the Spirit himself is doing most of the speaking...I just need to stay out of the way.

Good to hear that your show went well as well as the sermon. How is Danielle?
