Give A` Smile Away
I saw an interesting sight today. Though it was but for a second that I saw this, it spoke volumes to me. I was driving through the campus of the University of North Alabama, as I do nearly every day. Across the street from the Norton Auditorium is a school for small children. UNA students walk by this school all the time. Today, however, I saw a young child run up to the fence and say something to a young man walking to class. When the child spoke, the young man let out a good hearty laugh.
I don't have a clue what the child said to him, but I would sure like to. I just thought it was awesome that the little child made him laugh. It even made me smile. That's contagious--the smile of a child. That young college student probably had a better day because of that child. I can even imagine him telling the story again and again.
I wish I could be more like that all of the time. God help me to give away more smiles today! Who knows what I might accomplish in it.
