Praise God For All Good Blessings!!

Ann's surgery went well. The chicken was removed and she should be going home today barring any complications. She will have to be careful from now on to chew better. She will be on soft foods for some time. Ellen and I thank you all for your prayers for her mother. May God bless you all.

Prayer Request

Tonight my mother-in-law, Ann Springer, was eating supper and a piece of chicken got lodged in her throat. It is lodged just below her tongue. It became lodged in a tiny pocket that had developed in her esophagus. The doctor said that this happens more often than we might think.

They tried to remove the piece with endoscopy. The problem was the instruments were too large to remove the piece safely. She will have it removed tomorrow by an Ears, Nose And Throat Surgeon because the instruments he uses are microscopic. This is supposed to happen around lunch time.

Please pray that the surgery will go well. Ann has some complications medically that extend from a car accident that happened nearly 40 years ago. This makes the surgery a little more complicated. However, the doctor is optimistic that this is the best answer to her problem.
