Chalk One Up For The Girl

As most of you know my Tabitha started to college this year. That in itself is enough to just blow my mind. But recently something else has blown my mind. I just don't know if this old dad can handle those evil creatures called boys that call on her. (I know it's a natural thing I know, but it's sure tough.) And some of you are going to say, "Hey, you were a boy once!" My answer is, "Yeah, that's what scares me!"

This last little boy (20 years old) started talking to her over the internet and I just wasn't sure about that, but he sounded like a nice enough guy. He called a couple of times and then asked her to dinner on a Wednesday night. She told him she had to go to Bible study. She invited him too. He called her back and explained that he had changed some from the picture on the internet. She asked what he meant. He said that his hair was somewhat longer and that he dressed in mostly black. Her reply was, "Are you gothic?" He said, "Not as much as some." She asked him, "Aren't most gothic people atheists?" He said that he was not like most of them and that he was not "as gothic" as most. She told he that she was not into that. YOU GO GIRL!!

I am so proud that she has those kind of principles. I certainly don't mind her sharing Jesus with him, but I'm glad that she made the decision to not "date" him. Maybe she could help him find Jesus and then date him. That's what Ellen did for me, but I recommend doing that before the wedding or the dating.

Have a great day my blogger family!!
