First Plane Ride, WOW!!

So many people told me that flying was not all that bad. They were right. My first plane flight was spectacular. I've included pictures. I felt like such a tourist, but I just could not help myself. Got lot's of video too. I think they need to make those windows a little bigger. There's just too much to see and not enough window.

My trip to Long Beach has gotten off to a great start. Greg and Randy met me at the airport. We drove to Long Beach and ate at a burger joint. Janice came over and added grace and beauty to our time together. Greg and Randy are as hard on each other in the real world as they are in the blog world. It's amazing what you can learn in a twenty five minute ride with those guys. Just pure scholarship and no riff raff. Ha!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to my week here in CA. Pray for our safety and that the Lord will be glorified in what we do here Sunday and the week at Pepperdine.

The Unknown

Within the word faith is the concept of the unknown. Faith is believing in something that can't be seen. It is understanding that the unknown is really known in our hearts.

Lately life has been stressful in a lot of ways. I don't know how to put my finger on it, but so many things around me that just a few months ago were so stable seem to not be so. It seemed to all begin when dad died back in January and really before that through his last month of life. It was a faith roller coaster. He suffered so badly while we were praying that the suffering stop with healing. I am still looking for what possibly God could have had in mind for us through that tremendous storm.

My daughter fell at the church building and really hurt her ankle. Ellen has something wrong with her foot and my son's elbow is sore after pitching only two innings yesterday. My oldest has gone to work and we miss the time we once had together. Our church family has some struggles right now as well.

Sounds a lot like complaining, but it's really not. I am proclaiming a belief that in the unknown in all of this, God is in the midst working together something awesome for our good. I can't wait to see what He has in store for us. Please pray that we can see the light in this time. I too ask for you to pray that this trip to CA is a good thing for this time in my life.

Finally A Game We All Can Play!!

I thought you all would enjoy a great new parody I found. I love a good parody. Click Here for a game that we all can now play.

Keith Lancaster sent this to one of our shepherds who is also our worship leader. I will go ahead and apologize to anyone who see this and is offended. Remember though, laughter is good for the soul, even if it is at yourself.
