The Unknown
Within the word faith is the concept of the unknown. Faith is believing in something that can't be seen. It is understanding that the unknown is really known in our hearts.
Lately life has been stressful in a lot of ways. I don't know how to put my finger on it, but so many things around me that just a few months ago were so stable seem to not be so. It seemed to all begin when dad died back in January and really before that through his last month of life. It was a faith roller coaster. He suffered so badly while we were praying that the suffering stop with healing. I am still looking for what possibly God could have had in mind for us through that tremendous storm.
My daughter fell at the church building and really hurt her ankle. Ellen has something wrong with her foot and my son's elbow is sore after pitching only two innings yesterday. My oldest has gone to work and we miss the time we once had together. Our church family has some struggles right now as well.
Sounds a lot like complaining, but it's really not. I am proclaiming a belief that in the unknown in all of this, God is in the midst working together something awesome for our good. I can't wait to see what He has in store for us. Please pray that we can see the light in this time. I too ask for you to pray that this trip to CA is a good thing for this time in my life.

Keith,
AS someone who seemingly experiences life as you described as the rule and the stability is the exception, I thank you for reminding us what real faith is all about.

Amen to what Tom said. As someone whose life is full of drama and very little worldly peace, I truly appreciate your unwavering faith that all things, truly, work together for good for them that love the Lord.
Have fun in Cali! And don't worry about the plane ride. The worst part is taking off and landing but it's a fun roller-coaster kind of feeling!
Love to all!!
