Pepperdine So Far!!

Today was awesome at Pepperdine. Heard a great lesson from Rick Atchley and Bob Russell. It was a great show of unity between the a capella churches and the Christian church. I was moved at many things that was said, but one of the most important things I heard was, "I am not responsible for my ancestor's mistakes, but I am responsible for my descendants." We may not ever be able to dismiss the past, but we can work toward the future to help bring about unity in the only thing that matters--JESUS.

I am enjoying being with all the guys here. Greg, Randy, Cecil, Chuck, and John are great fun to be with. I met a young man named Keith who is inspirational to talk to. He is really allowing the Lord to lead him.

Funny stuff: We watched with video in hand at a sea gull perched directly over a table of lunch sandwiches. We waited with anticipation thinking he might "drop" down on the food. We were all disappointed as he just flew away. There went ten thousand dollars.

The skies are still overcast and I'm still waiting on the view promised. Pray that the clouds will go away. Nevertheless, it is still a beautiful place to be.

  • Keith,

Glad you had a great time with the bros. What's the secret to posting pictures on your blog.

    Peace.

  • Steve, Just save them to your hard drive, click the litle mountain picture on your blog when you post, go to the file and upload it to the blog. Iblogger makes it easy.

  • Looks like great fun. I'm glad the sandwiches were spared. I hate it when good food goes to waste.

  • I hope those clouds go away long enough for you to see the awesome view of the ocean! It really is spectacular.

  • It's been a great week, Keith! I've enjoyed getting to know you and to hear a familiar language (Southern twang!) You've been a good sport taking all the ribbing from all the non-southerners making fun of you. Thanks for your great heart for the Lord, and sharing it with me.
