What's The World Coming To?
Yesterday I learned of a tragic event in southern Tennessee. It was in the town of Selmer. A 31 year old minister, Matthew Winkler, grandson of the late Wendell Winkler was shot and killed in his home. He did not show up for the Wednesday midweek service. The elders went to the parsonage and found him shot in the back. His wife and three young children were not at home. He was the minister for the 4th Street Church of Christ. Well loved by the people. It was sad to say the least.The story gets worse. Today, they found his wife and children in Orange Beach, Alabama. She has admitted to shooting him. I don't know this family at all, but my heart goes out to them. What a terrible thing that has happened.
What is this world coming to? What happens to a person who knows the love of Jesus and can do something like this? Who knows anything anymore?
Please pray for this family.

Keith - While "murder" is never and acceptable option, we may never know the true reason that motivated this woman to kill her husband.

Paul said at one time listed a number of sins. At the end he said "AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU!" That includes you and I. It is hard to accept that our soceity has accepted alot of things lately. Just watch TV for a few moments and you will see. I am praying for this dear Godly family. The wife has asked the church to forgive her if she did anything wrong. God has forgiven her. We should also but it will not be easy.

Update: Dan Winkler helped hold his sons funeral. He said that he has already forgiven Mary. Mary has asked that the church worldwide forgive her. I am sure that our great God has. It will not be easy but we must forgive and gorget.
