Much Better Day
Today is a much better day. Danielle is feeling better. Though she is scared, she seems to be past this particular episode of seizures. She doesn't want to go to school for fear of having another one, but she struggled with that the last time she had a major seizure. Please pray for her that she can have some understanding and that God will bless her with healing.
I found a song today by Casting Crowns that describes where we should be in our suffering. It's called "Praise You In This Storm."
I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen"and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away
Chorus:
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away
Chorus
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

I love that song, I like Casting Crown. As a mother who has watched a child go through unbearable pain (and yet get through it) for 16 years, I have an idea of how you feel. The difference is me child is now free of her problem. Have and will continue to keep you/yours in prayer. Love ya.

Thanks so much Keith. The time we had last night as a church family was awesome. So encoureging! I ask all of the guys on here to be praying for our elders at Creekside. They are awesome God fearing men who are very bold about thier commitment to Jesus. I would venture to say we have the best elders of anywhere BUT I do not want to start anything here LOL. Be praying for Charles, Rex and Don. Swindle

Just got back to reading blogs this morning, and will be praying for Danielle. I know how upsetting and terrifying those seizures can be. Thanks for making the week at Pepperdine so memorable (and your drawl made me feel right at home - thanks for being such a good sport about all the ribbing!)
I love the lyrics on the Casting Crowns song, I'll have to look it up and listen to it.

Danielle will be in my prayers, brother. I'm so glad you had a good time and were able to experience the joy of Pepperdine. Even more glad you're home safely.

I've never met you Keith, but I grew up in Colbert County and went to high school at Cherokee. I've heard great things about your church family from some folks in the area and fom Greg E. Peace to you in your work there.

I'm glad Danielle was able to be with you at your show. We'll continue to pray for her.
I love that song.
