Great Weekend
It was a good weekend this past week. Our high school band went to a regional championship in Murfreesboro, TN. It is the first major competition we will attend this year. My daughters Britney and Danielle and son Brandon are all a part of the band program. I think it is the best program in the whole school.
We did well. We finished third in our class along with winning the most outstanding music award. We've never done that well this early in the season. I am really proud of them.
Sunday was a great day at Creekside. We titled the day, "God's Awesome Ways." God says, "My ways are not like your ways." How true is that!!? We shared together through songs, readings, prayer, and testimony some ways that He is awesome in our lives.
Please pray for me as I prepare for a lesson series on the Holy Spirit. I think we have mised it on this one. I pray that God will annoint our church with a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We truly always need His power.
I hope you have a wonderful week in the Lord!!

HOLY SPIRIT? You mean he actually works outside the pages of the
Bible? WOW!
Just kidding, but that is what I was taught in the cofC all my life. It was a wonderful experience to learn that teaching was TOTALLY wrong. I know your spirit and the spirit at Creekside, the Holy Spirit is truly working there.

Greg, Alienation happened, as you know, when I went to Creekside. In North Alabama one can put himself out o the synagogue simply by preaching Jesus in the wrong place.

That works in Central Florida as well by the way.
Congrats to the kiddos.
BTW (again) - I believe Billy Graham used that same text when he spoke at the service following the Oklahoma City bombing.
