Trust

Lord willing our Tabitha will have to go "under the knife" this coming Wednesday to have her tonsils removed. I know what your thinking. "That's such a minor thing these days." I am reminded of the old saying that the only minor surgery is the surgery that happens to someone else. In this case, someone else's child.

As I thought about this procedure, the word "trust" came to mind. By that I mean that it takes great trust in a doctor's ability to place one's child under his care. It takes great trust to place ones child in the hands of capable nurses and care givers.

Though we are thankful for the great doctors and nurses that we are blessed to have around our area, our real trust is placed in the hands of the one who created those doctors and nurses. The one who created their abilities. The one who created this whole thing we call "life." Not only did He create it all, it is all sustained by His power and will. Colossians 1:17 says, "He was there before anything was made, and all things continue because of him."

Because of our trusting God and the power that He possesses, we are able to relax as she goes through this. Our prayers are with her and we hope that yours will be too. Thank you God for being the Father we can hold on to. Without you, we would truly be lost.
