Making Time

It has realy baffled me the saying, "I just don't have the time." We live in a world that has more convieniences than any time in history and we still don't have time. With microwaves, internet, fast cars, jet planes, Amtrack, and the list cold go on, this I-don't-have-time syndrome, forme at least many times is just an excuse.

Ellen made the statement to me last week, "We need to just make the time." She continued, "We always make the time for things we "want" to do." That was a statement of wisdom.

So, last night we had some friends over for supper. We had Billy, Lisa & Connor, Roy Ellsworth, and Mark & Laura Thompson along with Darren, Cory, and Matthew. What a blessing!. Ellen fixed a spread with fried chicken (preacher's favorite) and lots of veggies and desert. The best part was the love shared among us. It is truly wonderful to make time for things like this.

Luke writes the following about the early chuch, "They ate together in their homes, happy to share their food with joyful hearts." (Acts 2:46) Let's all make more time to do this together. Thereby, we will strengthen each other in our walk with Jesus!

  • Thank you so much for your hospitality last night! We all enjoyed the time together and the food was delicious! Fried chicken is a "Methodist favorite" too!! LOL The relationships in our church are one of the best things there. Creekside truly is a FAMILY!

    Thanks again and God bless!
