Sweet Sixteen

Tomorrow is a big day in the Davis household. Danielle, our middle daughter, will celebrate her sixteenth birthday! Wow! It is so hard to believe.

Danielle was always a feisty little one. You could look at her toddler pictures and just see the feisty all over her beautiful face. She was one of those little kids that for some reason did not like clothes. She would be out of her clothes (including diaper) and toddle out to the front porch wearing nothing but a smile! Our neighbors, and best friends at the time, would call and say, "Hey, Danielle is standing in the door with no clothes on again!" Thank God she has stopped that now!

Danielle has always had the attitude that she could do whatever she puts her mind to. She has played softball, been on the school volley ball team, and participated in the band. On the softball team, she pitched and played middle infield. In band she plays clarinet during concert season and keyboards in the percussion section during marching season.

Danielle is a strong person. In early January of her sixth grade year she began having seizures. They came out of nowhere and for no apparent reason. She has never let that stop her from being active and continuing right on with her life. For that she is our rock of strength.

Unlike all of her friends, Danielle won't be able to get that precious driver's license that every sixteen year old wants. She has to be seizure-free for six months before she can get her them. She is even taking that with strength and faith. Pray for her that her resolve will continue. We have full faith that God will heal her of this one day. We must continue that faith. Thank God for Danielle being a part of our lives.
