We Have Been Saved!!
Paul writes about salvation that is sure and complete in Jesus Christ. He says twice in Ephesians 2:4-8 that we "have been saved." It is amazing--salvation I mean! To know that we are really going to be with Jesus one day is a wonderful realization.
How would more people live in Jesus if they could just understand this? It may not be so much an understanding of it but an acceptance of it. We all sin and for some of us it is difficult to forgive ourselves. But God's love is awesome. He says in (1 John 3:19 NCV) "...When our hearts make us feel guilty, we can still have peace before God. God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything." This passage teaches that God can look past even our own hearts in order to forgive us. We can still have peace if we will accept the fact that God is greater than our heart's desire to condemn ourselves. That's Love!!
Please know Jesus in your life as Savior. Believe on Him and be baptized into Him. Know the salvation that comes from this gift of grace. I leave you with a passage of hope from Ephesians. (Ephesians 2:4-8 NCV) "But God's mercy is great, and he loved us very much. {5} Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, he gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God's grace. {6} And he raised us up with Christ and gave us a seat with him in the heavens. He did this for those in Christ Jesus {7} so that for all future time he could show the very great riches of his grace by being kind to us in Christ Jesus. {8} I mean that you have been saved by grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God."
