The Power of God
So much is said in our brotherhood about worship. There are so many arguments flying around that it makes our head swim. I don't know where you are in your walk with God as you read this, but I pray that you can experience Spirit filled worship like we did today at Creekside. I don't say this to brag on us. This BLOG is not about us at all except to say that when God is allowed to be active in our lives, there is no telling where He will take us. We will probably be going places where we don't always feel comfortable.
Today we enjoyed the testimonies of several of our members answering the question, "Who is Jesus to you personally?" Jesus was very concerned with this question while He was on earth. He even asked, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." You can read the whole story in Matthew 18.
The point is that Jesus was interested in what people thought about Him. I think He is still interested. I also believe that there is power in testimony. When we begin to share with each other in worship settings who Jesus is in our lives, it is motivational. People today were moved toward an experience with God and it was wonderful to be a part of it. It moved us in ways like I have never seen.
It was all about Jesus not about us. It was truly entertaining, although that was not the purpose. It was Spirit-filled and exciting because Jesus was the focus. I pray that this is something that we can experience time and time again. It helps us all live for him better and I know that He is glorified and uplifted!
Praise you Father for Your majesty and Your salvation. Thanks for the gift of Jesus and thank you for the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Keith,
Just a note to let you know that we love you and we are very proud of the work you are doing for Christ. We are proud to call you family!
Your comments about our opinion of Jesus hit close to home for me. I've grown up with him in my life, but I can honestly say that I didn't really KNOW him until a few years ago. Some events in my life coincided with a bible study that I was involved in and it all worked together to change my life and my view of him. I realized that I had been viewing him as giant "flyswatter" waiting to pop me if I messed up. I feared what he would do TO me, instead of praising him for his power and what he wants to do FOR me. I now view him as a KING and I worship his majesty. Since that change I have seen him move in my life like never before, and I don't ever want that to change.
Keep up the good work brother!
